Balances and Payments

Your balance and payment information can be monitored on the Balances and Payments page. In the top-left corner, you can choose between Bitcoin or USD balances and payments.

Your Effective Margin Balance reflects the net value of gains and losses on executed contracts and transactions with Luxor for the purposes of fulfilling the margin requirement.

The Initial Buffer Requirement refers to the level at which your effective margin balance must be to initiate a contract. The Maintenance Requirement refers to the effective margin balance that must be maintained.

If a user’s Effective Margin Balance is greater than their Maintenance Requirement, they may withdraw the Available difference. If it falls below the requirement, the user must post additional margin to cover the Payable difference and maintain their positions.

If a miner receives upfront payment for their hashrate, the Upfront Repayment Balance reflects the notional value of outstanding hashrate repayments.
