Partner Referral ID
The LuxOS Partner Referral ID allows for an optional parameter during installation that partners can use to tag installs with their partner ID. By using this partner ID, this allows Luxor to compute hashrate coming from the miner and provide a commission to the partner ID owner. This is similar to our referral code program for our mining pool.
Partner IDs are only available to miners that have never had LuxOS installed previously.
Follow these steps to get started installing with your partner ID:
- Contact a Luxor associate (opens in a new tab) to agree upon the partner ID to be used. Partner IDs must be alphanumeric and lowercase, i.e. luxosref, avoiding spaces, capital lettering, as well as special characters and symbols.
- Ensure you have the latest version of Commander, either by updating from within Commander or by downloading the latest version from the Luxor Firmware Page (opens in a new tab). You can double check what the latest version number is by visiting the LuxOS Changelog (opens in a new tab).
- Once you have acquired the latest version, open up Commander and go to the top-right upper corner, click the settings button (gear icon) and enter your partner ID into the Partner ID field.
- You're now ready to start installing LuxOS. Select your machines and begin installation.
- After installation is complete, you can confirm the partner ID by going into your miner's logs and look for an entry that says: "Partner ID loaded: yourpartneridhere".
- Your referral proceeds will begin to accrue, and will be sent to you each month based on the hashrate sent through LuxOS.
