This is the folder you will need to extract and or copy the contents of to your Micro SD card. Use these files if you want to downgrade your Bitmain version to an older version. These files are needed to allow Commander to install LuxOS if your original version is later than March 2024.

Steps to flash to an older Bitmain version.

  1. Download the stock recovery image.
  2. Format your 8GB Micro SD card (other sizes may work) to Fat32.
  3. Extract and or copy the contents of the download onto your Micro SD card.
    • The contents of the image will consist of various files and folders. Ensure all files and folders are copied to the Micro SD card.
  4. Remove the power cords from the miner. Allow it to fully stop, fans included.
  5. Put the Micro SD card into your USB to Micro SD card converter.
  6. Plug the male end of the USB to Micro SD converter into the female USB end of the OTG cable.
  7. Plug the male Micro USB end of the OTG cable into the Micro USB port on the miner.
  8. Plug the power cables back into the miner.
  9. The SD card will flash the NAND device on the control board. Once complete, the control board’s external LED will turn green. This flashing process takes less than one minute.

To confirm the reimage completed successfully, open the miner IP address in your browser. You should see a Bitmain firmware version prior to March 2024.

  1. Remove the power cords from the miner. Allow it to fully stop, fans included.
  2. Remove the OTG cable from the miner.
  3. Plug in the miner power cables.
  4. Wait for the miner to come back online by refreshing the web interface for the miner IP.
  5. Once the miner is back online, no pools will be configured. Configure pools if desired.
  6. Scan the IP address or range of IP addresses with Commander.
  7. Install LuxOS with Commander.

To confirm LuxOS installed successfully, open the miner IP address in your browser. You should see the most recent release of LuxOS listed in the bottom left hand corner of the browser.
